#Election2019 : INEC Postpones Presidential Election, announces new election date

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has postponed the supposed February 16th Presidential elections.

This is a decision that has just be made public by the Electoral body after several rumors of postponement of the Presidential elections which was earlier scheduled to hold today the 16th day of February 2019.

The commission brought it to the Nation’s notice that the postponement is in the Country’s best interest though speculations have ruled the town as some citizens refer to this as a means to rig the elections.

The Presidential and National Assembly elections is scheduled to hold on Saturday the 23rd of February 2019. The Governorship, State House of Assembly and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council Elections is rescheduled to Saturday 9th March 2019.
