As successful as the Epic EP ” sounds from the other side ” by Starboy Wizkid it was not just created from the clouds, something inspired it.
Though ” Sounds from the other Side ” was described by Wizkid himself as an EP, yet its is more or less a complete studio album.
Sounds from the other Side
Back in 2017 when “Sounds from the other Side” dropped, millions of people all over the world loved the sound Wizkid shared with the world but no one has been able to figure out the inspiration behind the name of the Album “EP”.
“Sounds from the Other Side is the third studio album and major label debut by Nigerian singer Wizkid. Described as an EP by the singer, the album contains songs that were recorded between 2014 and 2017.” – Wikipedia
The album was released under Starboy and RCA Records on the 14 of July 2017 having featured some of Nigeria’s finest music producers and some other foreign producers including Sarz, Del B, Spellz, DJ Maphorisa, DJ Mustard.
According to statistics, the Album was loved by 100% of all Google users online making it one of the most successful releases of all time. Various award nominations and winnings have since then been stitched to this very afro-beat EP by Starboy Wizkid.
Songs from the Album topped Chart in many countries over Africa, Europe, America and at some point took over the Number one spots in some countries. This has however been one huge success for Nigeria’s Wizkid since His career kicked off.
Many rated the Album and songs in it really high but never knew How Wizkid came about the naming of this piece of work and that is what we are about to reveal……. The Inspiration
The Inspiration behind ” Sounds from the Other Side ” – Wizkid
As earlier stated, the Album contained songs from 2014 unto 2017 and in only one of these greats songs was the Title ” Sounds from the Other Side ” derived.
Back in 2015, Wizkid was featured greatly by some of Nigeria’s A List artistes in which one of them is Runtown. Runtown dropped a single titled “Bend Down Pause” just after premiering the visuals to His song “Banger” in which He featured south Africa’s Uhuru.
Artistes are known for reviewing their old songs when making new projects and We believe this was the situation when Wizkid was to name His Album ” Sounds from the Other Side ” and this can be verified in this song by Runtown which He featured in “Bend Down Pause”.
Here is the part of the lyrics which tells the whole story…
Say wizzy baby I be biggy man, plenty money but i no fat
Money long and my car too fast, I be number 1 i no dey carry last
High me like a Sensi-milla, tomorrow chilling with Caroline
and everywhere i go money rolling in, they feel the “Sound from the Other Side”. ( Right here )
In Our great believe and we believe You are just on the same track with Us, we come to a conclusion that this was the point of songs review where Wizkid drew the title for his third studio album ” Sounds from the Other Side “ from.
You never knew that right? Don’t keep this to yourself, share with others and let the whole world get to know about what You just discovered.
